Evaluations
If you have a question or concern about your child’s communication skills, we can conduct a full communication evaluation, which will include a parent interview, play-based observation, speech and language samples, and possibly standardized assessments. At the conclusion of the evaluation, which will take approximately 60-90 minutes, results will be discussed with the parent, and a plan will be made, dependent on the findings of the evaluation and the needs of the child and family.
Speech Therapy
We offer speech therapy services to address a variety of communication needs, including receptive (understanding) and expressive (use of) language, speech sound disorders, social pragmatic skills, and Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC). Speech therapy sessions take place in our Granville clinic. Parent involvement is encouraged, as we believe that parents are ultimately the primary teachers of their child’s communication skills.
Play+Connect
Play + Connect Groups are parent/child classes developed and led by speech language pathologists incorporating music, movement, and play to build and strengthen communication and social skills. These 45 minute classes are a great opportunity for parents and caregivers to connect with their children in a fun and playful way! All children can benefit from Play+Connect group classes, even if they are not in need of speech therapy services. All are welcome to come and join in the fun!
